Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant to work in the Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences.
The Student Assistant works in a food pantry and provides valuable support and assistance in day-to-day operations. The Student Assistant’s primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the food pantry program. The role of this assistant involves various tasks and duties, which contribute to the overall success and impact of the organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Greet and welcome clients and volunteers with a positive and friendly attitude. Assist in receiving, sorting, and properly storing incoming food donations. Help organize and maintain a clean and safe pantry environment. Assist in weekly inventory checks to ensure the availability of essential food items. Assist in distributing food packages to clients in a respectful and organized manner. Help with data entry tasks to track statistics and compile reports as needed. Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week 18 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
