It’s bad manners to talk about money. Unless you’re in Finance & Accounting or Controlling & Analysis—the two large teams comprising Finance at BCG. Not only do these professionals talk about money all the time, they also really have to know what they’re talking about, since they’re responsible for accounting, taxes, payroll, travel management, and time and billing at BCG. In addition to purely financial workflows, they also ensure that our consultants have the best possible basis for making decisions in our various markets.

What You'll Do

The Expenses and Accounts Payable areas of our Finance department in Düsseldorf are responsible for all travel expense reporting and creditor management for our German and Austrian offices. This position therefore requires a very high level of confidentiality and discretion.

As a member of the team, you will support your coworkers on the following:

 

Expenses

Examining and processing:Travel expense reportsApplicant travel expensesResponding to inquiries

Accounts Payable:

Examining and processing:Supplier invoicesEvent accountingRemindersPreparing, providing, and forwarding receipts

What You'll Bring

You are studying for a bachelor's or master's degree (with at least two years of study remaining at your start date and no mandatory internships planned).You communicate competently and professionally in German and English and work proficiently with the MS Office programs.You’re known for your organizational talent and conscientious work style.

You're good at

You have a strong affinity for numbers, data, and financial topics in general.You also have an independent, structured, and service-oriented working style, are flexible, willing to work, and consistently friendly and professional, and you approach your tasks with great care and conscientiousness.

Who You'll Work With

As a Student Assistant, you’ll be part of the G&A Finance Team, which totals more than 50 members. Locally, you’ll work with six experienced colleagues.
