United States Steel Corporation is looking for qualified interns to join our Global General Procurement team in Pittsburgh, PA. Our procurement department undergoes thorough analysis and strategic negotiations for indirect materials, services, and select direct materials for our numerous operating locations. We seek an intern who can participate in various stages of the procurement process along with special assignments. This individual will not only gain intimate corporate knowledge of procurement, but also gain networking exposure with individuals throughout the corporation and suppliers. We will provide tours of our operations to provide a basic understanding of what we do along with several social events with your peers. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Participants will intern performing procurement related functions pre-approved by the Procurement Team director to adapt their teachings from college.They will learn USS’ business and learn to integrate themselves with the people and culture.Internship assignments shadow the experience and responsibilities of Procurement professionals to ascertain their interest in Procurement.
