U. S. Steel Logistics Services is seeking student employees for Summer of 2025. Logistics is responsible for the shipment of steel out of all our mills and processors. We work with trucking companies, railroads and barge lines to ship steel from mill to mill, mill to processor, mill to customer, processor to processor and processor to customer. Logistics is notified by Sales or processed products or plant business of what to ship, planning when to ship and where to ship using the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Requirements include:Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Accounting or Business Proficient in MS Office: word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and statistical applications requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated planning and organizational skillsAbility to handle and complete several assignments simultaneously Safety Conscious in an office environmentCandidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s DegreeCandidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2024 and be in good academic standingBe authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipPreferred Skills: We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast paced, data-driven environment. The successful undergraduate will be an analytical problem solver, have an extremely high level of customer focus and a passion for process improvement.
