Work Location Springfield Campus Department The Office of the President Hiring Range $14.00 - $14.99 Department/Employer Operating Hours 8am - 5pm How many hours per week are required? 15-20 Description of Primary Duties The Student Employee will be responsible for a variety of essential duties, including answering phones and greeting guests during office hours, and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves scanning documents and establishing an electronic file management system, as well as coordinating mailings and creating invitations for various events. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining spreadsheets for RSVP and mailing lists, conducting research for purchasing items, placing orders through Copy This, managing the reconciliation of travel-related expenses, and securing receipts as necessary. The student will also support event and meeting set-up across campus, maintain an organized office environment by cleaning and organizing supplies, manage event scheduling in the Outlook calendar, and reach out to various organizations for information as required. Strong communication skills and organization are essential for success in this position. Required Qualifications Student employee must possess strong proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, demonstrating an ability to effectively utilize its various applications. They should be adept at navigating the Missouri State Website for relevant information and resources. They should also have a good knowledge of campus and where to navigate others. A solid understanding of professional email formatting and etiquette is essential. Additionally, the candidate must efficiently use design software, such as Canva, to create compelling invitations, and have a clear grasp of navigating File Explorer for file management and organization.
