Requisition 202400422ST Title Student Employee-Homeland Security Institute-Undergrad Research Assistant (Social Network Analysis) Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position No Department Homeland Security Institute Division Division of Academic Affairs Hours per week 28 Hiring Rate $13.00 Preferred Student Classification Nature & Purpose of Position The Institute for Homeland Security (IHS) at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) seeks an undergraduate student. The student worker will need to be an independent, self-starter with significant skills in programming and coding applying them to data collection and structuring for Social Network Analysis projects. While not a requirement, students majoring or minoring in computer science would be highly encouraged to apply.

The student would need to work well with others and take direction from IHS staff and sub-researchers/contractors in an in-person setting. The work is primarily conducted on the SHSU campus on an IHS computer. Other Requirements for the Position
