**Job Description** **Position Title:** Student Intern - Engineering (Electrical) (Summer 2025) **OPEN UNTIL FILLED** **Department/Location:** Office of Chief Ops Officer/Bismarck, ND **Company:** Basin Electric Power Cooperative **Position Purpose:** This is a temporary position that assists the Electrical Engineering section at headquarters. The incumbent must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. **This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.** **Essential Functions:** + Assist with the development of technical drawings to improve troubleshooting. + Verify as built conditions and subsequent drawing updates. + Assist engineering staff on project assignments. + Generate tracking reports. **Qualifications** **:** + Enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) electrical engineering program with completion of sophomore year; or + Recently completed a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) electrical engineering program. + At least 18 years of age. + A minimum of a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) is preferred. + Able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. + Interpersonal and organization skills, proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and personal computers. + Able to work as part of a team. + A valid driver’s license. + **Resume and unofficial transcript required.** + The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position occasionally may work in conditions of dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, and confined areas. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. This position may need to be respirator qualified.
