**Job Description** **Position Title:** Student Intern - Engineering (Electrical) (Summer 2025) **OPEN UNTIL FILLED** **Department/Location:** Office of Chief Ops Officer/Bismarck, ND **Company:** Basin Electric Power Cooperative **Position Purpose:** This is a temporary position that assists the Electrical Engineering section at headquarters. The incumbent must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. **This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.** **Essential Functions:** + Assist with the development of technical drawings to improve troubleshooting. + Verify as built conditions and subsequent drawing updates. + Assist engineering staff on project assignments. + Generate tracking reports. **Qualifications** **:** + Enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) electrical engineering program with completion of sophomore year; or + Recently completed a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) electrical engineering program. + At least 18 years of age. + A minimum of a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) is preferred. + Able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. + Interpersonal and organization skills, proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and personal computers. + Able to work as part of a team. + A valid driver’s license. + **Resume and unofficial transcript required.** + The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines.
