Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.

In this role, the successful candidate 10 to12 weeks, full-time work experience. It provides students with an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills in health services administration/management, research, or, policy. Students gain a better appreciation for the pressures that affect decision-making in todays healthcare environment and are able to identify additional skills they will need to better prepare them for a rewarding career in health care administration.

Job Responsibilities:

Identifies proper scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects within organizational constraints, clearly communicating the expected outcomes and dependencies.Demonstrates an ability to understand the priorities for end-user departments, REDF, and MCIT, working with constituencies to ensure that proper standards are followed throughout the construction and/or renovation process.Conducts and participates in regularly scheduled meetings with various team members to coordinate project implementation.Provides periodic validation of budgets from conceptual phase through completion and close-out of all projects.Facilitates discussions with end-user departments to identify innovative and appropriate use of technology through workflow analysis and by developing a strong understanding of their operational business needs. Works with users to develop alternatives that will meet their needs in a fiscally responsible manner.Anticipates needs, such as growth and technology changes that are not clearly scoped and assists the requestor in defining the scope and setting expectations.Maintains knowledge of industry trends and technological development through participating in local events such as HIMSS, BICSI, ASHE, etcEnsures that all scope is properly focused on the delivery of world class patient-centric care, research and education.Provides routine updates to departmental leadership, including MCIT and REDF, as well as escalates and deescalates as appropriate.Builds and maintains a positive, collaborative relationship across all disciplines, while ensuring that key business drivers are addressed. Identifies opportunities for process improvement.Ensures proper project management processes and tools (i.e. Unifier, Innotas, Sharepoint) are being utilized to their fullest extent on all projects. Participates in a collaborative atmosphere with colleagues to identify new and better workflows and processes to manage CT projects

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $18.00-18.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
