Position Summary Information
General Summary
The student intern willsupport efforts related to backup recovery, performance tuning, problem determination and resolution, deploymentand will help to develop and implement Business Continuity Planning ( BCP ) and disaster recovery plans. The Student Intern Systems Administration/Platform Technologies role is expected toprovide Junior-level administration and engineering support for all of WSSC Water’s Microsoft server platform technologies which include Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365 (Azure AD, Azure Exchange, Teams, OneDrive).
Essential Functions
· Monitoring skills and entry level knowledge on cloud and on-premises enterprise class systems, Microsoft, VMware, MS Exchange
· Entry-level hands on knowledge of various VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, vROPS.
· Entry level knowledge on script writing with powershell, operations in hybrid infrastructures both on-premise and in the Cloud (i.e. Azure, Citrix Cloud, Nutanix, Cohesity, etc.)

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
· Entry-level hands on knowledge of VMware technologies
· Entry-level knowledge of script writing with Powershell
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of 2+ years college towards a degree in IT or related disciplines.
Additional Requirements
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
