As the Student IT Quality Analyst/Tester, you will work under direct supervision to support MNIT @DOT Project Management Office (PMO). Your responsibilities will include performing Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester tasks, such as conducting software testing and ensuring the quality of application software and systems. While gaining hands-on experience, you will be encouraged to apply knowledge from your classroom studies and previous experience.
**This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:**
+ Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota.
+ Only candidates located in Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are telework eligible.
**Additional position details:**
+ The position is anticipated to continue through June 30, 2026, with the understanding that if financial circumstances require, working hours may be reduced or the position may be discontinued. The ending of the position will be determined based on the selected finalist.

**Education**
Student Worker Eligibility - To be eligible for an appointment as a Student Worker Paraprofessional, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate educational program or plan to enroll within three months. Students may be "off" for the summer or for one semester/quarter and remain employed as a student worker, but such absences cannot exceed one semester/quarter in a year. If you are enrolled at a credit-granting institution, you must carry at least six semester/nine quarter credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, you must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class) load will be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Educational Verification form prior to appointment.
**Experience**
+ Academic programs can include Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related program.
+ Through formal education or work experience, have a basic understanding of any quality assurance testing methodology.
+ Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
+ Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

+ Ability to translate technical information for non-technical staff.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Effective organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
+ Effective communication skills.
