Student Loan/Collections Officer

We are seeking a Student Loan Processing and Collections Officer to handle student loan applications, manage collections, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, financial aid, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Process student loan applications.Manage loan payment collections.Reconcile loan funding with payments.Coordinate with the financial aid team.Address student loan issues.Prepare and submit regulatory reports.Assist students with loan options and applications.Guide students through loan repayments.Ensure compliance with regulations.Prepare financial reports on loans.

Background Needed:

5+ years in GL or AR/Collections accounting.Experience in financial aid or regulatory compliance.University/school loan accounting experience.Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, sum totals).Experience with regulatory reporting.Familiarity with ERP systems.Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.Customer service experience, especially with students.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
