Position Responsibilities
Join Mount Sinai Medical Center as a Student Nurse Tech! This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting, while focusing on your main priority, nursing school!
· Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, responsible for providing basic patient care such as bathing, feeding, taking vital signs, and monitoring patients’ behavioral and physical condition.
· Ensures patient personal and oral hygiene needs aer met daily and/or as necessary. Provides catheters care daily and/or as needed. Reports any pertinent observations to RN.
· Completes assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor/Registered Nurse, including assisting patient with activities of daily living.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Must be enrolled in an accredited school of nursing and have completed fundamentals of nursing courses.
· BLS certification required.
Schedule
· Minimum of 2, 12 hour shifts per month (Day Shift: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm/ Night Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
