GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under supervision, the research student will be provided with the opportunity to be
mentored by professionals in their chosen research field, to become familiar with the
use of state-of-the-art scientific equipment and technology, and to learn valuable
interpersonal and presentation skills. The goal is to expose aspiring researchers and clinicians to exciting advances in biomedical sciences that will help define their career
paths.  Public Health Science department is seeking students for a paid research summer internship. These students will assist with ongoing research projects, which may include literature reviews, data collection, and or /analysis. Student will have the opportunities to join seminars, team meetings, and other trainings related to their topic area. A learning plan will be arranged with the preceptor. Students will be asked to present their work at the end of the session.  This student internship will be a 10-14 week program starting in May thru August 2025. This internship will be a hybrid role- 3-4 days in the office /1-2 day remote.  This will be a 40 hour per week position . No benefits will be offered.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 Proof of enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
 Highly motivated and organized.
 Requires the manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.

Preferred Skills -

 Research experience preferred but not required .
