The Student Assistant (Research) is responsible for data collection, quality assurance of collected data (clinical, laboratory, demographic), routine data management tasks for data transmitted from the international sites, manuscript development, proposal assistance and other relevant scientific activities.
Among the key duties for this position are the following: Works with our staff and international sites in data capture, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities during protocol conduct. Works with study coordinators and data managers to develop appropriate and detailed standard operating procedures, training manuals and other materials for study conduct and data collection in the clinic, field and laboratory. Identifies missing, incorrect, and illogical responses for queries to field sites for correction. Maintains databases as per operating procedures and under guidance of database programmer and study coordinator(s).
