**Job Description** **Location:** Chicago, IL **Hospital:** RUSH University Medical Center **Department:** Microbial Pathogens & Immunity **Work Type:** Part Time (Total FTE between 0.5 and 0.89) **Shift:** **Shift 1** **Work Schedule:** 4 Hr (9:00:00 AM - 1:00:00 PM) **Summary:** Organize, manage, and perform experiments to answer Specific Aims of a research project supported by the National Institutes of Health. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. **Required Job Qualifications:** •Accepted by the Rush Medical College - Division of Translational Sciences. •Skills in using research software, administering a behavioral research protocol to school-age children, obtaining informed consent and background information from parents. •Good knowledge of the literature pertaining to language disorders, bilingualism, and cognition in children. **Responsibilities:** 1. The successful candidate will be expected to work with other graduate students and the research coordinator. 2. Design, develop and perform experiments with little supervision. 3. Present research findings through presentations in journal clubs and at scientific meetings. 4. The Graduate Research Assistant will also be required to complete the graduate program curriculum in the Rush College of Health Sciences and maintain a grade point average no lower than a grade of B. **Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
