Overview:
The Faculty of Education at McGill University is seeking 4 motivated students to co-lead a transformative project aimed at building a strong Black community within the Faculty of Education. This initiative is part of McGill's broader Action Plan to Address Anti-Black Racism.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Advisory Committee to carry out research on the Black student, faculty, and staff experience within the Faculty of Education.Engage in data collection through focus groups, interviews, community consultations, and surveys.Analyze both primary and secondary data, including enrollment records.Contribute to organizing the “Building Black Community in Education Symposium,” where research findings will be presented to the wider McGill and Montreal communities.Support community-building activities and mentorship opportunities within the faculty.Application Requirements:

Preferred: Affiliation from a department of the faculty: Kinesiology & Physical Education (KPE), Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), and Educational & Counselling Psychology (ECP), but open to other faculties and departmentsCurrent Black students enrolled in any undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or continuing education program at McGill.Additional qualifying skills and abilities:
