Position Description: TEMPORARY Exam Proctor

Position Title: Temporary Exam Proctor

Department: Accessibility Services

Position Overview:

The Temporary Exam Proctor will be responsible for overseeing the administration of exams to ensure they are conducted in a fair and secure manner. This position involves monitoring students during testing, enforcing exam policies, and assisting with any accommodations for students with academic accommodations. Proctors are essential to maintaining a controlled environment and ensuring the integrity of the testing process.

Work Schedule:

Workers will be scheduled based on exam needs, which may include daytime and evening hours.

Flexibility is required, as exam schedules can vary throughout the final exams term.

Duration of Employment: Monday, November 25th Mandatory Orientation 1pm – 3pm

December 2nd -  December 13th.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor students during exams to ensure compliance with exam rules and regulations.Set up exam rooms, including arranging seating, distributing exam materials, and ensuring that testing equipment (e.g., computers, cameras) is functional.Assist with the implementation of accommodations for students with disabilities (e.g., extended time, distraction-reduced environment, etc.).Maintain a quiet and controlled environment conducive to testing.Address and resolve any issues or disruptions that may arise during the exam.Provide support to students in the event of technical difficulties or clarifications (within the scope of the proctoring role).Collect and return completed exam materials to the appropriate department.Ensure that any incidents, violations, or irregularities during testing are documented and reported promptly.Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all exam content and student information.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce rules fairly and consistently.Ability to maintain focus and monitor multiple students and tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in an academic or testing environment is preferred, but not required.Ability to handle sensitive student information with confidentiality and professionalism.Reliability and punctuality are essential.
