Job DescriptionWe are seeking a friendly and supportive Student Services Advisor to join our team in Phoenix, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, ensuring their success and well-being.
Offer personalized academic advising to students, helping them navigate course selection, degree requirements, and career planningProvide empathetic support and resources for students facing academic, personal, or financial challengesCollaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement student success initiativesMaintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with FERPA regulationsOrganize and conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and informational meetings for studentsAssist with the development and implementation of retention strategiesServe as a liaison between students and various university departments to resolve issues efficientlyStay up-to-date with academic policies, procedures, and program requirements to provide accurate information to studentsParticipate in campus events and activities to promote student engagement and successQualificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field2-3 years of experience in student services, academic advising, or a related fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse student populationsExcellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach to student supportProficiency in student management systems and Microsoft Office suiteDemonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficientlyKnowledge of student development theories and best practices in academic advisingFamiliarity with academic policies, procedures, and FERPA regulationsEmpathetic and supportive attitude towards students' needs and concernsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work occasional evening or weekend hours as neededAdditional InformationWe Offer:
