The Student Services Assistant provides administrative support to the Director of Student Advancement for the Graduate School of Social Work. The Student Services Assistant plays an integral role in the Office Student Advancement’s administrative functions and contributes towards streamlining processes and ensuring efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Work inter- and intra- departmentally across university systems, particularly in the area of Student Services.Organize and plan professional development events.Manage student inquiries, including developing flyers and engaging communication tools to the student body.Provide oversite and maintenance of student and office files including spreadsheets and general record keeping systems.Maintain compliance and statistic reports, with expectation to create an inquiry report upon request.Track and follow up on students who will be returning to the program.Upkeep the Office of Student Advancement Canvas site.Provide general administrative support to the Director. Qualifications

Education/ Experience

Bachelors Degree required.2 plus years’ experience in Administrative Assistant role required.Preference in the Higher Education field.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, empathy and creativity are required.Ability to multitask with a proactive approach to work in a fast-paced environmentExceptional communication skills are requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook

Extensive use of computing softwareExtensive time sitting and standingAble to lift up to 5 lbs. Maximum Salary USD $57,794.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $46,235.00/Yr.
