Student Services Manager – Campbell River, BC Discovery Community College (DCC) has an opening for the right individual to join our team as a Regional Operations Manager, based onsite from our Campbell River campus. This position will be full time (exact schedule to be confirmed). Salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per annum. The Regional Operations Manager plays a crucial role in DCC’s administration. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the college campus, creating a safe environment, and promoting enrollment. If you're considering a career in post-secondary administration, this role might be a great fit for you. + Increasing Enrollment : + Collaborate with other departments (such as marketing and admissions) to set admission goals. + Develop strategies to boost enrollment rates for the upcoming cohorts. + Create a team of advocates for community outreach and program promotion. + Implementing Policies : + Enforce DCCs policies and procedures. + Address safety concerns, mediation, and student well-being. + Ensure policies align with the college's mission and guidelines. + Communication and Marketing : + Promote DCCs programs through direct marketing initiatives. + Use social media to reach prospective and current students. + Direct interested students to admission and student services. + Campus Safety and Security : + Implement on-campus security procedures. + Inspect campus grounds for safety hazards. + Enforce building and staffing hours. + Student Services : + Solve everyday problems related to student welfare. + Manage Student Retention programs + Maintain good professional relationships with administrators, faculty, and students. + Record Keeping and Documentation : + Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation. + Monitor student record maintenance and reporting on academic and financial matters. + Team Management : + Maintain good professional relationships with administrators, faculty, and students.   QUALIFICATIONS / KEY ATTRIBUTES: + Diploma (preferably in education, business, or a related field) or equivalent experience/other education. + Experience in education administration or related roles. + Strong communication and leadership skills. + Knowledge of safety protocols and policies. + Action orientated. + Innovative/creative. + Resourceful. + Respects peoples’ individuality and differences. + Engaging/effective communicator. + Committed to sharing knowledge and best practices. + Have a global perspective. + Embraces change. + Client/customer focused. + Resilient.
