Student Services Secretary JobID: 1925 + Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical + Date Posted: 2/6/2025 + Location: District Wide + Date Available: 02/24/2025 + Closing Date: Until Filled    NORWALK COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Job Title Student Services Secretary Reports to Director of Student Services Position Purpose To assist and support the Student Services department with administrative, data management, and financial functions to ensure the focus on improved student learning. Essential Performance Responsibilities + Data Management + Maintain confidentiality of student and staff data in compliance with respective laws and policies + Organize and manage student information within the student information system, including student rosters and services + Gather, organize, and reconcile various student data to report to Heartland AEA and the Department of Education at specific times during the year + Collaborate with SIS Specialist and Director of Technology to maintain accurate data within the statewide ACHIEVE system + Prepare and oversee data management within various applications (DLM, ELAA, Clever, EdPortal, ClaimAid, and Canvas, etc.) + Assist the Teaching & Learning department with various student assessment data and accommodation information + Collects and compiles data for reports, updates files and databases + Organizational Support and Coordination + Support the Director of Student Services with multiple tasks at the district level + Support the MTSS/Special Education Specialists, Transition Alliance Program (TAP) Coordinator, School Counselors, School Nurses, Behavior Specialists, At-Risk Teachers, and Building Administrators + Coordinate training, communication, onboarding, and assignments for district paraeducators and collaborate with Human Resources for Paraeducator Interview Days. + Work with internal and external stakeholders in efforts pertaining to student services (AEA, Medicaid, etc) + Assist with scheduling meetings, organizing materials, and helping to prepare for district-sponsored meetings + Performs clerical tasks, prepares communication, and monitors deadlines + Assists in preparing handbooks and other documents. + Collaborate with district school nurses in the coordination of Medicaid billing for eligible student services + Organizes staff trainings to support student services professional development and required certifications + Collaborate on District Office special projects + Purchasing + Manage all aspects of ordering necessary equipment and materials, including communications with vendors and other district and AEA staff + Receives incoming orders, verifying receipt of items and distributing supplies as needed + Collaborate with building administrators regarding ordering , inventory, and materials + Collaborate with Business Office regarding department purchases ensuring funds are being distributed appropriately + Other Duties as Assigned Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
