SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Success Coordinator with a strong background in student behavior and a passion for positive student outcomes. The ideal candidate will embody a collaborative, student-centered approach and demonstrate the ability to build meaningful relationships, support diverse needs, and lead innovative behavioral interventions and inclusive classroom practices that foster growth for all students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Collaboratively address attendance behavior, and academic needs as it relates to behavior
+ Coordinate Individual Attendance Plans
+ Facilitate meetings with staff and parents around supporting student behavior
+ Must be willing to lead, support and implement a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) for behavior and attendance.
+ Develop and implement behavior intervention plans as part of the Tiered PBIS process
+ Responsible for creation, implementation and fidelity of Tier 3 plans
+ Serve on the buildings’ Tier 1, 2, and 3 PBIS team to help create and support a positive environment school-wide
+ Assist in creating interventions, functional behavior assessments, and behavior plans in partnership with GWAEA
+ Administers programs and services for students struggling behaviorally or emotionally (Structured Play, Rainbowdance, KINNECT, etc.)
+ Collaborate with the building teams at all levels
+ Maintain accurate records as required by federal, state, and local officials.
+ Adhere to applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and Board Policies.
+ All other duties as assigned by the principal
+ Respond to students in crisis
+ Have a general understanding of any individualized student plans
+ Provide on the spot coaching to colleagues responding to challenging behavior
+ Train and plan with teachers and paraprofessionals on how to best respond to behavior
+ Observe behavior plans in action and provide feedback regarding the fidelity of plans
+ Identifies areas of improvement within classroom environments and works with teachers to implement a continuum of responses
+ Utilizes a trauma-informed lens in making student based decisions
+ Develop and maintain relationships with students and students’ families

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
+ Experience working in educational or behavioral support roles.
+ Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and data-informed decision-making.
+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
+ Experience working with diverse student populations.
