Student Support Specialist

The W. P. Carey School of Business Undergraduate Programs Office is committed to the success of our students during their time at ASU and beyond. We are looking for service-oriented individuals who are committed to serving a diverse student body and can incorporate a “Business is Personal” attitude. Successful candidates will have strong technical and organizational skills, a “How can I help?” approach, excellent time management skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Student Support Specialists are a specialized team within the Undergraduate Advising Office that jumps in and is willing to help out whenever and wherever is necessary; this includes handling all incoming calls and emails for our undergraduate advising office, working independently with students in-person as they enter the advising office, assessing and researching transfer credits, attending Camp Carey, assisting with new student orientations, and attending W. P. Carey Convocations. In addition, candidates must be comfortable with change and be able to adapt quickly. 

Days and Schedule: Work hours commensurate with the Undergraduate Programs Office hours: Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Schedule may include some evening and weekend hours based on office events. 

Full-TimeASU conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications. Flexible work options

Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location. Dean or vice president-level approval is required. 

Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND one year of administrative and appropriate program experience; OR, Five years of progressively responsible administrative and appropriate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
