All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** PRN **Shift** : Evenings/Weekends **Location:** 100 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville, NC 28792 **The community you’ll be caring for:** _AdventHealth Hendersonville_ + Convenient access, with locations across Western North Carolina + Beautiful mountain scenery + Historic towns and cities full of specialty shops, art galleries and unique restaurants **The role you’ll contribute:** Responsible for performing ultrasound exams and documenting proper charges while supervised by credentialed sonographer **The value you’ll bring to the team:** **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** + Performs standard US examinations and has all exams checked by credentialed sonographer prior to patient leaving department. + Schedule patients for examinations. + Assist with evaluating the nature of critical and emergency procedures, and rearranging patients scheduled to accommodate them. + In performance of ultrasound examinations, receive patient, explain method of procedure, select proper transducer, follow set protocols and scan appropriately as indicated by clinical diagnosis. + Recognize abnormalities while scanning and make appropriate exposures. + Present diagnostic sonograms and paperwork to the radiologist with appropriate patient history for review to allow for further scanning and to avoid repeat scans. + May assist credentialed sonographer with “on-call” exams. **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** : + Enrolled in accredited sonography program and in their 2 nd year + Current American Heart Association BLS Certification This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
