Objective To provide basic software, hardware and network support related to faculty, staff, classroom and lab computers. Essential Duties 1) Configure wireless access and client email on mobile devices.
2) Install software and hardware.
3) Update and/or upgrade software.
4) Assist in Lab computer configurations and imaging process.
5) Setup or relocate computer related equipment as needed.
6) Provide basic client support for Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom and TEAMS.
7) Maintain an organized work environment including technician work area and computer storage rooms.
8) Perform ceiling mounted projector maintenance (requires working on ladders 6 ft. to 12 ft. tall)
9) Assist in configuring mobile devices to Blinn’s wireless networks.
10) Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office Suite to include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Word.
Ability to follow directions. Preferred Experience and Training Hands on experience with both Windows and MAC OS software and computer peripheral installations. Experience with audio and video configurations used with Zoom, TEAMS or other conferencing programs. Good technical communication skills. Good organizational skills. Required Degree, License or Certifications Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing 50lbs. Special Notes To Applicants For the summer, must be enrolled in at least one class that will count towards your degree.

For the fall, must be enrolled as at least a half time student (this includes all Blinn campuses and internet courses) for at least 6 hours.

The availability to work on Friday afternoons will be a noted consideration.
