The Minnesota Office of Rural Health and Primary Care is looking for a student worker to join our team! In this role, you will assist with a range of projects aimed at supporting the Office's initiatives. Project responsibilities include: + Collect and analyze key health indicator data in support of a needs assessment + Co-design and administer surveys + Create infographics and maps to illustrate federal health care workforce shortage designations, workforce needs, grant awards, and more + Clean and analyze provider data to assist with managing federal health care workforce shortage designations + Supporting additional research projects as needed This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Telework eligibility is based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisor discretion. Position location will be determined by the final candidate and based out of one of the following MDH office locations: St. Paul, St. Cloud, Duluth, Rochester, Mankato, Marshall, Bemidji, Fergus Falls. The successful candidate, under U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations, must be able to accept work in the U.S. by the day employment begins. The agency is unable to offer H-1B sponsorship. **Minimum Qualifications** Completion of at least two years of postsecondary education in one of the following areas: Public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, natural or social sciences, public administration or related field. Qualifications that will be assessed during the interview process: + Knowledge of data analysis and data analysis software programs sufficient to perform data collection and create summary reports + Communication skills sufficient to communicate clearly with division leadership and staff + Human relations skills to achieve effective working relationships within the agency and externally **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, coding, and analysis + Knowledge of public health research methods **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of a background and employment reference check.
