Position Purpose:
The Lead Set Grip position is responsible for leading the Set Grips team, which is integral to the efficiency and success of any photography and videography studio. This role involves strategic oversight and coordination of daily tasks, ensuring alignment with the studio's operational goals. The Lead Set Grip collaborates closely with the Interior Design & Art Direction team and the Photography team, providing expert guidance and support in areas such as flooring, furniture, lighting, window treatment, and accessory installation. Additionally, the role requires carpentry, electrical, and mechanical skills to set up and maintain sets, photo, and lighting equipment both in studio and on location. The Lead Set Grip may assist in the operation of photo and video equipment and works with Studio Management to prioritize and assign tasks, ensuring production goals are met and safety standards are upheld. This position also involves enhancing and delivering safety training programs to the Set Grip team, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
