In the Video Community, we work across a vast range of video output, including celebrity interviews, events, podcasts, branded content, livestreams and more, there’s always something new to get stuck into.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

As a key member of the Video Community, you will collaborate with teams from all departments across the business to ensure smooth operations for a wide variety of video projects.

This role will require regular filming within our in-house studios, as well as the set up and broadcasting of live and online events. This role may also occasionally be required to shoot on location at cover shoots, press junkets, events and more.

You will be proficient in video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound recording, and live event AV and livestreaming.

Additionally, you will maintain a diligent booking system for Hearst-owned kit, facilitate the check-in and check-out process for location shoots, and book external kit hire when necessary. The role will oversee the preservation of both equipment and studio space, ensuring that all gear is in full working order, properly stored, and ready for use.

This role requires you to be available in-person in our office and studio up to five dates a week.

ABOUT YOU
You will have relevant and demonstrable experience shooting video for online and social formats, and managing mixing desks for live broadcasting.

A good knowledge of camera, lighting and sound equipment is needed, as you will be required to do regular maintenance checks on kit, to advise on repairs and upgrades, and to source new kit.

You will have an organised, tidy and methodical approach to work and environment, with a meticulous eye for detail. Previous experience setting up or managing kit or studio booking systems would be useful.

The ideal candidate will have an active interest in the Hearst brands, and will be able to identify and execute the visual differences of our brands, and identify the interests of the different audiences.

You will be a collaborative worker, and a clear, positive and pro-active communicator, with a willingness to help support others in the team and the wider business.
