Study Facilitator Contract  

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology) Ability to follow and execute study protocols accuratelyTechnically proficient with data entry and operating testing devicesStrong interpersonal skills; experience guiding participants or providing patient careFamiliarity with gym equipment and exercise proceduresPhysically able to stand for the duration of a full shift

Study Facilitator Role Summary:

Facilitators will conduct human subject research involving wearable devices in an exercise setting. They will guide participants through scheduled sessions (up to 2.5

hours), ensuring proper setup with devices and monitoring equipment. Recruitment is not part of their duties. Work will take place in a simulated

environment, with some sessions potentially conducted outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain informed consent from participants per study protocolRecord vitals and measurements (e.g., height, weight, EKG) at baseline and during sessionsSet up wearable devices and monitoring equipment for each participantOperate and manage multiple pieces of instrumentationPerform exercise activities with participants as outlined in the protocolObserve participants during exercise and ensure protocol adherenceMonitor data collection systems and ensure accurate data capturePerform manual data recording as neededProvide guidance and support to participants throughout the sessionTroubleshoot equipment and ensure functionality during the studyRemain on feet for extended periods; some desk work involvedWork directly with participants in a simulated environment; some sessions may occur outdoors

Schedule:

Evening shift: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PMEach shift is 6 hours; candidates may work one or both shifts, including double shifts if preferredWeekly schedules are shared 1–2 weeks in advanceHours may vary based on participant availability; some weeks may have reduced or no hours during non-participant data collection phases

 

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
