**Job Summary**
Battelle is currently seeking a **Study Facilitator** in the High Containment Chemistry division. This position is located in **West Jefferson, OH** .
We are seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented, dependable team player to join our Study Facilitator functional group. This role will facilitate study activities and collaborate across functional groups and with study management teams to deliver high-quality data, documents, and reports. This role will support the High Containment Chemistry division and will require working in dynamic environments. The Study Facilitator is responsible for assisting the Study Director with many aspects of the study, including facilitating pre-study and in-life phases to ensure that all client, regulatory, organizational, ethical, and/or legal requirements are met. The job supports a deadline-driven environment, and we are seeking an individual who is used to working within tight time frames while still maintaining high-quality work.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist study director with study start preparation activities including generating study distribution list, Provantis protocol creation/review, study calendar review, and scheduling pre-study meetings;
+ Create and review study specific in-life forms, labels, and memos;
+ Assist in preparation and/or review of deviations according to SOP or Protocol;
+ Assist study director in monitoring timelines and study progress;
+ Assist with in-lab monitoring to ensure proper study execution which may include real-time review of data being produced in the lab;
+ Perform protocol/amendments/report QC;
+ Generate data tables for study reports;
+ Prepare study files for archiving per SOP, GLP and client specifications;
+ Assist with client meetings/visits/audits as needed;
**Key Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher in biology, chemistry, or related field with at least 1 year of chemistry coursework;
+ 2+ years of experience working in bench science (biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.);
+ 2+ years of experience with Provantis data collection and management software including 2+ years’ experience with protocol definition;
+ 2+ years of experience with pre-clinical data entry, management, and QC review;
+ 1+ years of experience in project management;
+ Experience with GLP documentation and QC review;
+ Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work on multiple studies for multiple study directors;
+ Excellent team-building and team-leading skills;
+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently, and meet deadlines;
+ Demonstrated knowledge in Excel, Word, Access, and SharePoint;
+ Demonstrated communication and English language/ grammar skills;
+ Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in support of non-clinical studies;
+ Must be a US Citizen to perform duties of this role;
+ Must be willing to work in a biosafety level-2 (BSL2), -3 (BSL3), and/or animal research environment and able to wear appropriate respiratory protection;
+ Must be willing to be immunized with licensed and FDA-approved vaccines and medications recommended for persons at risk to occupational exposure of biological agents;
+ Must be willing to participate in periodic drug screening.
Additional requirements may be requested at a future date:
+ Ability to obtain/maintain DoJ Security Risk Assessment (SRA) approval.
+ Ability to obtain/maintain CDC Select Agent Program approval.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Prior experience as an IACUC-approved study director with successful study initiation, execution, and completion;
+ Experience working in high containment laboratories;
+ 3+ years of animal handling experience in animal research laboratories;
+ Certification as an LAT or ALAT with eligibility to test for LAT certification;
+ Experience with Logbook software;
+ Publication history as named co-author in peer-reviewed articles and/or conference presentations.
