The positionYou will support the Principle Program Manager (PPgM) for successful project execution by taking care of a sub-region within the EMEA area as program manager. Close involvement on assigned projects under project management execution for one of our biggest global clients. Focus will be on standardisation, uniform contract execution approach and commercial optimisation.
What will you do:Supporting PPgM for operation of a small group of project managers.Technical standardisation (e.g. engineering solution, project plans, test & inspection plans, etc.), ensure client specific requirements and contracts are aligned among all project teams and implement lessons learned within the various projects.Reporting regularly to the client on various platforms and attending sub-regional alignment calls with client.Reviewing weekly reports of each project and ensuring the quality and accuracy.Implementation of requirements (e.g. documentation, work processes, training).Monitoring quality in the projects in alignment with QMIP.Involvement in strategy decisions.Early involvement in technical scope of project for smooth handover to the Executions team.
You will make an impact by:Effective communication with all stakeholders involved (customer, suppliers, contractors and our own department).Your ability to build a relationship with these stakeholders and succesfully manage all negotiations, claims, escalations and conflict issues for this customer in your sub-regional group.Experience with global business and construction sites in the oil&gas sector, datacenters, distribution centers.Your willingness to learn, determination and independence.

Our business The Sub-regional Program Manager is part of the Siemens Global Centre of Competence for data centre projects, based in The Hague and Chennai. We are one of the leading global suppliers of products, systems, solutions and services for the economic, reliable and intelligent transmission and distribution of electrical energy. We operate in the hyperscale data centre market and are involved in large projects here as a subcontractor.
The complexity in our projects is determined by size, speed, global location(s) and continuous pressure in realisation. In other words, dynamic projects with great customers. Due to the international nature of the projects, the working language is alternately English and Dutch.
What do you bring to the table:
Self-managing and analytical skills, decisive, accountable and a result and quality drive.A technical bachelor or master diploma plus at least 5 years of professional experience and 2 years of Project Management experience.Experience in dealing with a multi-cultural group of people is essential.A flexible attitude and willingness to travel (up to 20%). Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, whilst maintaining sharp at the key details.
