ResponsibilitiesElectrical system operation and oversight, developing and issuing switching orders, monitor system alarms and dispatch trouble calls. Monitor and control the electrical system and alarms, issue holds, clearances and assurances, operates computerized systems (i.e. SCADA, CADOPS, ect.), prepares and executes switching orders, maintains accurate logs, provides analysis and recommended restoration procedures for power outages and performs dispatching duties as assigned. Candidates must be a Sub-Transmission Dispatcher or be a Journeyman Lineman, Sub-Station Journeyman, Relay Technician, Journeyman Meterman, Electrician, I & C Technician, Electronic Technician, Journeyman Estimator or Internal Electrical Engineer to take a Trainee position. Trainee Candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-qualification testing which includes electrical competency, computer competency evaluation (PC familiarity and keyboarding), and PSP Dispatch aptitude battery.
