Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to safely assemble the appropriate sub-components, at or above current production levels, for use in the manufacturing of astragals.

Job Duties:

Assemble all bolts, and bolt sleeves correctly. While seated or standing as necessary, properly apply gaskets to bolt sleeves. Ensure that correct materials are being used i.e.  gaskets and processed sleeves (style, etc.) by quick visual inspection. Roll field packs and tape for packs. Ensure that correct materials are being used for field packs (color, style, etc) by quick visual inspection Properly report the production to the Line leader Observe all Safety rules and regulations Request additional materials from crewmembers, lead or Supervisor Develop working knowledge of all components. Quality inspect all sub-components to ensure proper assembly Maintain effective communication with the Line Leader

Safety:  All Employees are required to wear safety glasses and earplugs while in the plants.  It is your responsibility to work safely, ask questions and retain all information given to you.

Every employee is required to be trained and sign off on each job center.

PRODUCTION/JOB KNOWLEDGE:   Entry level position.  Most positions do not require previous knowledge; you will receive training to achieve required level of competency.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:   Employees must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in some positions written communication due to accountability of production reporting.

INITIATIVE & INGENUITY:  Employees must be capable of working respectfully with other crewmembers while following verbal and written instructions.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:  Under specific direction of Supervisor as instructed by Line Lead or Department leader, Assembly Supervisor and Plant Manager, where goals and objective are established.  Coordinate work with other crew members.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS:  Errors may be serious involving inventory and customer requirements and will become apparent in normal production runs.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS:  Regular contact with crewmembers, other employees, Lead persons and staff members.   Clear, concise communications skills are important.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:  Flow of work and character of duties involve use of hands to apply gaskets to bolt sleeves. Position requires prolonged periods of sitting with the ability to stand as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: Exposed to normal factory environment (wood dust and aluminum) with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent. Employees must be able to withstand heat up to 95 degrees.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations as specified in the Endura’s Safety Manual. This responsibility necessitates wearing of proper personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses & earplugs) by each crewmember on the line.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance is essential to any position with Endura.
