About the team
At the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering department, we develop and design cutting-edge hardware systems for multiple applications, such as search radars, fire control and combat management equipment for our customers active in both Naval and Ground based domains.
The department consists of mechanical, electrical and procured parts engineering teams, as well as our Environmental Competence Center. To support this department, we are looking for a:
Subject Matter Expert PLM
About the job
Having the right processes and tools is important for running an efficient department. We're looking for someone who really knows the details when it comes to these processes, can implement them with the right tools, and make sure everyone else can use them effectively. Plus, we're counting on you to spot and carry out improvements related to PLM.
The responsibility of the SME comprises the following. The SME:
has insight in the application of the working processes in the PLM environment
monitors the correct use & maintenance of product information in all lifecycle stages within the indicated scope
is authorized to decide on the use of the PLM in the supply chain domain
is responsible for the correct use of PLM
can issue change requests to IS/IT for PLM
acts as client for test and acceptance of changes
authorizes change requests for PLM in cooperation with the process owners
represents his domain when cross-domain (integral) changes are discussed / decided
In this function, the SME also:
participates in the SME network in other disciplines outside of the supply chain, such as engineering and change management to align the overall end-to-end processes
coordinates and supports deployment activities with/by process owners,
ensures proper bi-directional alignment and information sharing in the supply chain in close cooperation with key users
supports the department to the next level of tooling maturity such as Model Based Definition
About you
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the field of PLM, processes & tooling in a production environment;
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
Knowledge of PTC Windchill tooling;
Ability to master a broad area of processes up to a rather detailed level;
Capable to manage topics to closure;
Excellent and a variety of cooperation & communication skills;
Positive influence on relationships within and outside the Supply Chain;
Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
