Job Overview The Subject Matter Expert I (LBH) will support the Chugach Technical Program Manager the US Coast Guard team. The incumbent will provide day-to-day engineering support to NIWC. The position requires an experienced Specialist to support the project. Travel up 30% CONUS/OCONUS. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Support hardware installation efforts on board USCG assets. Integrate cabinets in lab or US Government facility. Install system components into cabinets IAW drawings. Install cables in cabinets IAW drawings. Ground and bond components in cabinets IAW with TEMPEST Spec Support system light-off and troubleshooting in CGSAIL and on USCG assets. Troubleshooting hardware related issues in the CGSAIL or on USCG assets. Build and/or repair cables for the lab or for USCG assets. Support the lab team in organizing lab parts and equipment. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School diploma or equivalent. U.S. citizen. Active DOD Secret security clearance. Five (5) years of experience of integrating and troubleshooting Military Electronics systems. Experience building Mil Spec copper and fiberoptic cables. Experience with the Sea Commander System. Willing to travel up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
