Location: Gunter Annex, Alabama\n
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert II (SME) with extensive experience in Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems to join our team at Gunter Annex. This role requires deep technical expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting VTC, audio, and video hardware and software solutions. The SME will also perform duties aligned with Field Service Technicians when not engaged in VTC-related tasks.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n\nServe as a Subject Matter Expert, providing in-depth knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications, operational environments, and functional systems.\nMaintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing VTC, audio, and video hardware and software solutions.\nConduct pre-coordination activities with site POCs, including audio and video testing, resource setup, and connectivity support for meetings.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and remediate live meetings, ensuring seamless VTC operations.\nManage, maintain, and recommend equipment upgrades, reporting real-time status updates on upgrades or repairs.\nIdentify multimedia failures\/discrepancies, track actions taken to resolve issues, and report operational issues to the Field Manager and Government POCs within 24 hours of discovery.\nApply advanced mathematical principles and methods to solve complex technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nExtensive experience with VTC systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nProven ability to provide technical knowledge and analysis for highly specialized applications and operational environments.\nStrong background in Field Service Technician duties, with the capability to perform these tasks as needed.\nExcellent problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving multimedia and technical issues.\nAbility to work independently and effectively communicate with team members and site POCs.\n\n
Preferred Experience:\n\nPrior experience with VTC systems in a military or government setting.\nBackground in cyber strategy, IT modernization planning, or technology innovation.\nFamiliarity with datacenter consolidation, cloud strategy, and enterprise performance management.\n\n
