Responsibilities The selected candidate will have the subject matter expertise in microelectronics disciplines to enable the development of system architectures, detailed system designs, and the application of expertise to specific problem areas applicable to the Sponsor. Advise on vulnerabilities and threats, evaluate relevant intelligence, review white papers for technical feasibility and operation use, advise on developing tools, and assess test data for foreign intelligence and covert action applications. Tasks shall include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinate with partners to assist in development of technical tools beneficial to mission needs. Identify technical, Cl, and operational risks and recommend mitigations. Study the feasibility and vulnerability of new technical collection capabilities and analyze gaps. Assess emerging and commercial off the shelf technologies in support of operational requirements and applications. Assess key vulnerabilities and single points of failure and recommend mitigations. Evaluate, validate, and analyze technical development compliance with stated requirements. Integrate, test, verify, and validate end-to-end systems. Apply expertise of application-specific integrated circuit development, semiconductor design and fabrication, and/or high-performance computers to requirements, architectures, designs and interfaces. The SME may be required to travel to other locations within the WMA. The SME will be subject to an additional security review process requirement that can take up to 6 weeks. Qualifications Required: Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in microelectronics with a government customer with more than one stakeholder with a technical undergraduate degree. Must have at least two (2) years of experience providing operational engineering support to a government organization focused on bolstering the Government's intelligence advantage. Expertise and skills to provide technical support in a wide range of application-specific integrated circuit development, semiconductor design and fabrication, and/or high-performance computers capabilities. Ability to apply operational methodologies to requirements. Experience applying systems engineering methodologies and processes. Strong analytical abilities and skills in organizing, planning, communicating, and executing project management tasks. Experience performing feasibility and vulnerability studies. Expertise in requirements development, verification and traceability. Ability to translate technical information and communicate it to a non-technical audience. Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks, solve problems, work several tasks concurrently, and efficiently manage a high volume of emails, develop fluency with online tracking tools rapidly and effectively. Proven ability to work independently while also coordinating, collaborating, and liaising with appropriate stakeholders. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with officers at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated good judgment, initiative, and critical thinking ability to take action to execute mission by leveraging networks and drawing on multiple areas of expertise. Self-starter with strong initiative and follow through. Desired: Prior experience supporting the Sponsor's technical operations. Technical master's degree. Preference of language capabilities.
