Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Submittals Manager to be responsible for the overall management of the submittal process, ensuring timely and accurate submission, review, and approval of all project-related documentation and materials. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills to coordinate with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients.

This role sits within the Mobility Global Business Area. Role accountabilities:

This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive submittal schedule based on project specifications and requirements. You will manage the entire submittal process from initial preparation to final approval. You will track and monitor the status of all submittals, ensuring timely submissions and reviews, maintain accurate and up-to-date submittal logs and documentation, and ensure all submittals comply with contract documents, specifications, and project requirements. You will prepare and distribute submittal packages to relevant parties for review and approval, expedite the review process by proactively addressing issues and following up on outstanding submittals and organize and maintain electronic and hard copy submittal files.

You will also be responsible for the coordination with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and understanding of submittal requirements. You will communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding submittal status, issues, and approvals, facilitate submittal review meetings and resolve any discrepancies or conflicts, and act as a liaison between subcontractors and the project team regarding submittal-related questions.

You will be required to understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in order to review submittals for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with project requirements. You will also identify and resolve technical issues related to submittals and maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices for submittal management.

The successful candidate will ensure all submittals meet quality standards and project specifications, implement and maintain quality control procedures for the submittal process, and identify and address any non-compliance issues related to submittals. This person will also be responsible for preparing and distributing regular submittal status reports to project stakeholders, maintaining accurate records of all submittal-related activities, and documenting and tracking any changes or revisions to submittals.

This person will have strong time management, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, technical proficiency, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience performing the role of Submittals Manager Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (preferred) Proven experience in submittal management within the construction or engineering industry Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Proficiency in project management software and document control systems Knowledge of construction contract documents Experience with specific project management software (e.g., Procore, BIM 360, etc.). Certification in construction management or related field Knowledge of BIM workflows

The salary range for this position is $89,600 - $134,400. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
