Job Advertisement: Subsea Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Structural Engineer to join an exciting offshore development project based in Paris, France, on a 12-month renewable contract.

 

 

About the Role

You will play a critical role in the design and engineering of subsea structures for a major offshore development project. This position involves working on high-profile subsea systems, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to the successful execution of the project.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Subsea Structural Design:

Design and analyse subsea structures, including FLETs, manifolds, suction piles, and large mudmats. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using software such as ABAQUS and beam analysis tools like SACS. Conduct hand calculations and propose solutions to structural challenges.

 

Collaboration and Review:

Review and validate technical drawings in collaboration with draftsmen. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design reviews.

 

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure designs comply with international standards and project requirements. Prepare technical documentation and reports in English.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

Proven expertise in subsea structural engineering, particularly within offshore projects. Strong proficiency with FEA tools (ABAQUS) and beam analysis software (SACS). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in performing hand calculations. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French is highly desirable but not necessity.
