ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Conduct triage on all calls to determine if it emergent, urgent or routine. If clinically appropriate, conducting warm transfers for any caller in crisis to a crisis counselor and resource at NSO-ETS.
· Conducting a brief clinical screen utilizing the approved screening tools in MH-WIN to determine the likelihood of a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health disorder as well as the preliminary identification of other needs.
· Ensure that an initial diagnosis is made as part of the screening process.
· Completing all screening tools including the ASAM and AADIS and documenting all processes within the MHWIN system.

· Authorizing the consumer’s access into the substance use treatment system for a comprehensive assessment and any immediate services and supports needed as a part of the person-centered planning process
· Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor CAADC certification and/or staff development plan. This plan must be an active plan and is no more than three years in duration.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field preferred.
· Three or more years’ experience in the mental health and substance use field required.
