Substation General Foreman, Foreman, Technicians & Apprentice Craft Control Electricians Substation Crew Leaders Operators (Light and Heavy) Groundman LaborersEducational & Minimum Requirements: Certification or completion of lineman school and any previous apprenticeship hours is required. Electrician’s license (for control electrician positions). Experienced in low voltage power or communication wiring. Experience in civil (foundations), steel, bus, wiring or apparatus installation, inspection and testing. Experience can be broad or specialized in any of these areas. Ability to read and understand substation physical, civil and electrical drawings. A valid driver's license with a clean driving history. A Class A CDL is highly preferred, with endorsements. Able to successfully complete both an oral, written exam and proficiency demonstration to determine position level. Able to provide your own tools and gear. Rubber Goods are assigned by company to each individual employee. Able to work outside in various weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to be able to lift a minimum of 50 LBS and safely perform other physical work. Able to travel and work remotely in substations. Able to demonstrate how to safely perform all tasks associated within energized and deenergized high voltage electrical substations. Able to perform basic installation and maintenance such as routine inspections, modification, installation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and facilities. Able to demonstrate climbing techniques and procedures, care and inspection of substation structure hardware, equipment/apparatus, tools, gear and various equipment, construction and installation of electrical and civil material and various components. All positions require participation in federally compliant FMSCA drug and alcohol testing program. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing. Other duties as assigned.
