Job Description SummaryGA SABAP Cluster Substation Automation Engineer executes Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality/cost/ time. This role involves the execution of project design activities in line with the engineering process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of design engineering activities for the project assigned and will coordinate with cross functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. In line with the Saudization requirements preference will be given to qualified Saudi nationals.

Roles and Responsibilities

Execute the DCS Engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality/cost/ timeMan-days optimization during OTR stageLiaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team to specify and design the project, whilst meeting the required technical standardsPreparation of all applicable production documentations needed for panels integrationControl projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external)Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including partner documentsParticipate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to PL procedures and per the project strategyParticipate to project strategy elaboration with PM and manage design issues up to resolutionIdentify, track, and manage potential exception and represents customer interests in the design decisions at PM requestValidate design throughout customer acceptance and check consistency of engineering documents before final release to customer while managing evolution of customer requirements & associated impactsSupport site organization during site preparation and commissioning stage when required and ensure compliance with Quality Procedures, work instructions and processes defined at Unit and project levelFAT preparation and conduct internal validation followed by customer FAT to ensure successful project deliveryDemonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective preventionEffectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacyParticipate in cost reduction process through standardization and out of the box ideas that optimize the provided solutions

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields, preferably electrical engineer3 years minimum relevant experience in substation automation projects Deep knowledge of prepare design documents for substation automation projectsDeep knowledge of prepare substation automation configuration/databaseAbility to conduct FAT with reference to project specificationGood experience in IEC61850, IEC-101, IEC104 and other substation automation communication protocolsStrong oral and written communication skills in English and ArabicAbility and willingness to travel across the region
