**Substation Drafter** Location **Orlando** Job Code **17432** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17432) **Substation Drafter** **Job Summary** POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department of our Orlando, Florida office. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (candidate must live within driving distance to the office). **Responsibilities** + Assist with drafting and design tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams + Develop proficiency in CAD software while adhering to client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with project expectations + Learn and apply POWER’s standards, procedures, and processes in project execution + Collaborate with team members to resolve design challenges and seek guidance from experienced professionals + Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail in assigned tasks **Required Education/Experience** + Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, or equivalent industry experience + Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, ideally in an engineering environment + Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members. + Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Desired Education/Experience** + Knowledge of substation electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings + Experience using Autodesk Raster Design and Bentley Descartes + Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel + Strong mathematical skills and experience working with scaled drawings + Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned responsibilities + Experience with ProjectWise File Management System At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
