Job Title: Drafter/Designer - Substation Design

Job Description:

Actalent is searching for a Drafter/Designer to join our Substation Design team in Maitland. This individual will provide computer-aided drafting and design support in AutoCAD and MicroStation for electrical substation engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review detailed substation drawings, including plan views, sections, details, steel structures and foundations, electrical schematics, wiring, and connection details.Work from engineering markups, sketches, and/or verbal direction.Create and modify working design documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CADD programs.Collaborate with engineers to interpret drawing markups and incorporate design feedback.Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with client CAD standards and procedures.Maintain and organize drawing sets, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Prior utilities drafting/design experience is a plus.Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment.Experience with physical drawings to scale.Paper space/model space experience and understanding needed.Design experience preferred.Physical designer experience in electrical substations with arrangement, elevations, conduit plan/details, grounding plan/details, and control house layout.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
