As a Substation EIT/Coordinator you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and your responsibilities will include:

Communicate and work collaborativelyunder the direction of Project Managers, Project Engineers and more Senior Engineers Designers.Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirementsPrepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage) and substation systemsWork on designs that typically include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cabling sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.Prepare specifications and redlines (as-builts) drawings for construction work packages.Some travel may be required.Perform all other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsEIT/FE certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT/FE certification, will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT/FE certification for career progression.Preference given to local area candidates.Substation design experience highly preferred.
