ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Include:
Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for utility-scale substationsDevelop design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, schematics, one-line/three-line diagrams, etc.Provide electrical design and installation support (RFI, submittal, transmittal, etc.) to project staff, EPC contractor, and EPC project management teamDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn officesMid-level and senior staff are expected to prepare project specifications, electrical cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the Minneapolis market and across the countryMid-level and senior staff are expected to lead project teams to produce high quality deliverablesMid-level and senior staff are expected to assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practice QualificationsRequired
Bachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer - ElectricalPrior experience in an Electrical Engineering role focused on utility-scale substation designUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code (NFPA70), National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI StandardsInterest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a growth mindset to build businessWillingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as neededPreferred
