Substation Engineer
Job Description The Associate makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive professional activities. In addition to being an extremely competent engineer, managing projects so that they are completed on time and on budget, and actively participating in bringing work into the firm, the Sr Associate is responsible for being the technical director for projects within the particular discipline which they direct. If the project requires a combination of in-house technical expertise, this requires being responsible for the portion of the project that falls within his or her area of technical authority. Hard Skills + 5+ years of experience in substation design and engineering + Experience in leading and developing engineering teams + Prior experience in business development efforts with utilities Job Type This is a permanent position. Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Seattle, Washington and some days remote. Work Environment Hybrid work environment with no set days in the office or requirements to be in the office. They are skilled in the transmission/distribution space but lack experience/relationships in substations, micro-grid, and small module reactor work. Two offices in Washington (Everett and Seattle), with the ability to work out of both. Open to fully remote candidates willing to travel frequently.
