Entry Level DrafterJob Summary 

POWER Engineers is seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Denver office located in Lakewood, Colorado. 

Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe position entails drafting and design opportunities on substation projects that include physical layout drawings as well as schematics and wiring diagramsThe successful candidate will be responsible for learning, understanding, and implementing CAD knowledge; learning client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues; and seeking guidance from those with more experienceRequired Education/Experience                                                                         Associate's degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)Experience using AutoCAD 2000 and/or newer versions, preferably in an engineering work environmentExperience with Microsoft Word and ExcelAttention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for completing tasks.The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team membersCandidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorshipDesired Education/ExperienceExperience with CAD Overlay and MicroStationProficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and ExcelKnowledge of substation electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is beneficialGood background in mathematicsExperience working with scaled drawingsReliable self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $22-$27 per hour; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
