ICF is seeking a Substation Physical Designer to work on the physical layout design of high voltage substations at voltages from 12kV to 500kV with the goal of providing excellent quality work for our clients.

What you will be doing:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the design and preparation of the following Substation Drawings:Substation One Lines and Three LinesStation General Arrangements & SectionsElectrical DetailsGrounding Plan & DetailsConduit Plan & DetailsControl Cubicle Layout, Sections, Cable Tray, Lighting, and GroundingLow-Voltage AC PanelsGroundingLightning ProtectionIlluminationDevelopment of Bill of Materials based on Design CriteriaCoordination with protection & controls, civil / structural, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverablesParticipate in client meetings and perform site visits for data gathering as requiredInterpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverablesApply client standards related to the workPerform/ensure company’s Quality assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are being followed on all design packagesContinuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performanceWhat we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
Associate’s degree in Drafting or high school diploma and 2+ years of drafting course work or equivalent technical experience1+ year of experience in substation physical design with Inventor 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MicroStationWhat we would like you to have (professional skills):
Ability to prioritize work while working in multiple projectsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAssociate’s degree in Computer Aided DesignSubstation 3D modelling and design using Autodesk InventorAdvanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Word and ExcelKnowledge of substation design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical drawings and models.Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to technical design.Working at ICF

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$60,927.00 - $103,576.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
