Substation Project Lead

POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Substation Project Lead for our Small Utilities department in FT Worth, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing substation projects for electrical cooperative clients as well as developing, maintaining, and improving client relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities Develop project work scope documents, budgets, and schedules Educate clients as required on the substation process and manage client expectations Manage structure/material/conductor RFQ process, purchase process and delivery Support internal engineering design activities and interface with client to collect information as required Ensure substation design meets project requirements/scope Manage Substation protection and control projects and compliance activities

Candidates should demonstrate the following:

Honesty and integrity Strong initiative Attitude of service toward clients Willingness to share successes with the project team Strong command of the English language Strong written and oral communication skills in order to communicate professionally with internal team members and clients Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or conferences Required Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Five (5) + years of experience in substation design or relay settings A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Desired Education/Experience One (1) + years of experience leading substation project teams Experience with preparing relay settings, outage investigations and reports. Experience performing substation, transmission and/or distribution design for electric cooperatives
